Last season it is pretty clear we played a very bad game. Not to knock the Bulls, because they were a very good team. But, this time we need to have one of our best games to put them in their place. I would expect alot of new looks from our Offense that we have not seen yet this season.

WVU STAYS AT #5 WITH SOLID WIN OVER ECU 48-7!!!
Man, Saturday was an excellent game for WVU! Pancake blocks from Wes Lyons, Pat White with 4 TDs, Jock Sanders and Brandon Hogan getting in early and contributing makes me feel great! Lot's of playmakers on the field and more speed to boot. The Defense was outstanding and I think they found some rhythm going into South Florida! BEAT THE BULLS!! Man, REYNAUD was a STUD AGAIN. Ed Collington coming in late looked GREAT and we will need him next season to offset our smaller backs.

While WVU has had their way with ECU on the ground in the more distant past, it looks like it could be tough again this year. They are only allowing 86 yards on the ground and held WVU to 153 last year. But it could be a chance for White and Reynaud to shine in the pass game.

NOEL...DEVINE!! WVU TRASHES MD 31-14!!!
This is a great road win to build on! MD should have been scoreless, but thanks to a holding no call on a 3rd and long the got a score. Terp fans should feel lucky that it wasn't worse! Noel Devine is UNBELIEVABLE! I envy those who were at the game!

WVU 31, Maryland 14
The Mountaineers' running game looked good. The defense held up, mostly.
And Devine is FAST! 125 yards on his first 3 (!) carries.
Can we buy a pass defense somewhere? In the NFL, the Colts knew they'd being playing with a lead frequently and forcing their opponents to pass. So, they built a defense to protect against the pass. I don't remember WVU ever having a good pass defense. I think WVU should switch to a solid 3-4.

Schmitt is Tough
More Schmitt. This time in the Washington Post. He seems like a fairly tough guy. Sorta like our own Conan, only tough. Schmitt can clean 500 pounds and has never lost yards on a rush at WVU. Nice.
